Last night in our Wednesday evening Bible study we discussed Psalm 119:33-40. In that passage, the psalmist offers eight prayers for God's Word. In a desire to know God more and live for His glory more, the psalmist prays for deeper understanding, a greater discernment, and practical application of God's Word. Here are the eight prayers: I. One of my goals for 2020 is to read through the Bible in a year. I have done it before, and though it takes a great deal of discipline, I always enjoy it. Though many cannot find the time to devote to reading through the Bible in a year, I would encourage you to spend time, each day, in God's Word.
